Having a professional, money-making online affiliate marketing website doesn’t have to cost you a fortune. There are tons of excellent tools, ebooks, and software out there that can help you build your business that are fee-based, but that can really run into some serious money.
If you’re just getting started building your online business, you may want to rely on some of the free resources that are available, many of which are great. You can find free tools to accomplish almost anything you need to do to build a successful business online, then once you start to make some money you might consider some of the paid resources.
I’ve included tools here that I have found particularly helpful, and there are tons more out there that are also free. This list includes, but is not limited to, HTML editors, graphics programs, keyword search tools, competition analysis, as well as tons of great training.
Keyword Tools:
Google AdWords Keyword Tool
The granddaddy of all the free keyword tools, in my opinion. I use the Google Keyword Tool to do virtually all of my keyword research and to get new keyword ideas. Enter your keyword or keyword phrase into the box and Google will return to you hundreds of phrases that people are typing into the Google search box, along with lots of other information about each one.
SEOBook keyword Research Tool
Offers many great researching features.
Wordtracker Keyword Tool
You can enter a starting keyword into this keyword search tool to generate up to 100 related keywords and an estimate of their daily search volume. Search as many keywords/phrases as you like, for free.
Wordtracker also has a paid version that will give you up to 1,000 keywords instead of the 100 with the free version, and they offer a 7 day free trial. The paid version gives you much more information about your keywords than the free version, but the free one will do just fine until you start making some money in your business.
Keyword Playground
This tool provides you keyword suggestions and reports on their monthly search estimates, and has been built using the WordTracker Database.
Keyword Density Tool
I’ve read conflicting reports on this subject, but many SEO’s agree that it is important for your content’s main keywords to have the correct keyword density to rank well in Search Engines. This tool will crawl the given URL, extract text as a search engine would, remove common stop words and Analyze the density of the keywords.
Micro Niche Finder

Take advantage of all the free affiliate marketing training and other tools and resources that are available to you. Starting your own business can be a tremendous cash drain if you try to keep up with all the latest tools and books that are showing up everyday, but it doesn’t have to be. These free tools work just fine, and many of them are very comparable to their pricier counterparts.
